Back to Hormones

Week One:  June 3, 2005
I didn't notice any physical changes happen on T this week.  The only thing I did notice was horrible cramping and stomach pains (of course it didn't help that my menstrual cycle started the day after my injection).  I'm hoping that I won't have to deal with the cycle anymore, but only time well tell.  The other thing I noticed was my sex drive was a little easier to switch on, then it had been in the past.  Ever since I met my partner, I've been "horny," but now it happens a little more frequent.

Week Two: June 13th, 2005
No real changes from the first week.
My cramps aren't happening as often, and my sex drive is about the same, if not a little less.  I've also noticed acne starting to erupt on my face, scalp, and chest :( My emotions may have changed slightly.  I don't feel "as" emotional (such as crying at Lilo and Stitch or some cheesy movie like Uptown Girls), I've also lost some of my patience.

Week Three: June 23, 2005
I'm in the process of changing where I get my Testosterone from, due to cost.  Currently I pay $60.00 for 5 ml, but a friend referred me to Stroheckers Pharmacy, http://www.stroheckersrx.com/htf.html whose price is $44.95 for 10 ml...hmmmm....no brainer :)

Yesterday was my third shot...and I injected it myself :)  I'll update later this week as far as things I've noticed, but the changes that I have so far from last week are acne (even worse than it was before, a picture will be posted on that issue) and my voice is cracking a little more, but it still sounds like old me :(

Day 24-or what I call "the day my voice dropped (a little)"
Here's a little story that brightened my day--My partner and I were at Wal-Mart and I was trying to get a box of Cookie Crisp from the bottom of a pile without making the other assorted boxes of cereal fall on me.  While I was in the process a woman said, "Excuse me, Sir, could you help me get this, my back is bad."  I stood up, looked at her and waited for her to say "Oh sorry," like everyone else in my life, but she didn't say a thing, I moved a few boxes and got her gatorade for her and even talked to her, without her ever correcting herself.  It was a defining moment for me...but maybe she didn't say anything because she was too embarassed...hmmm.  Well, whatever it was, I was called "Sir".

Week Four: July 3rd, 2005
I had my fourth injection on July 3rd.  It is now July 7th and just today, I've noticed another big drop in my voice from what it was pre-t.  Other things that are changing is my body shape.  My stomach's "pouch" is moving up higher than what one would see on a female.  My arms are also becoming more tone.  I've also noticed more facial hair on my upper lip, and a lot of light hairs on my chin (my hair is coming in faster now).  Acne is still bad :(  My sex drive is lower this week, in fact it is nothing like it was the past three weeks.

I'm grateful for the connections that I have made over these past three years and for that I continue to educate and share my story with the understanding that the only transgender person I can truly and honestly represent is me.  Everyone has different needs, everyone has different visions of who they are, and so I hope that you all continue to live as true to yourselves as possible, letting go of societal or even communal pressures.
