On April 29th, 2005, I called and scheduled my appointment
to see a doctor in order to receive my prescription of testosterone for May 10th, 2005. My first meeting went pretty
good and I felt that there shouldn't be any question as to why I wanted to start T.
I tried to start my shots on May 26th, however there were concerns
expressed by my doctor 1) my prolactin level was way too high (due to surgery and stress...and the fact that I didn't have
breast anymore :) 2) my doctor was concerned about starting me on T because of my age.
After talking with my doctor for forty-five minutes, I finally
got my first shot scheduled for June 3rd....to do this I had to go in and have another prolactin test ran (this one came back
nice and normal) and have my therapist send my doc a letter stating that I've had proper therapy....
I started T on June 3rd.
I picked up my componded prescription from a pharmacy where I live. For $60.00, I get 5 ml (which
last 5 weeks) and 5 needles/gauges for those injections. A nurse injected my first two shots, after that, it's all up
to me. I inject 100 mg every ten days into my thigh.
